My name is Buck; my career started as an Engineer in the Royal Navy where my interest in cartography blossomed. Since leaving the Navy, I have worked in Rail and Power & Electrical Engineering whilst collecting and studying cartography. In pre retirement I decided to start my own website, tutoring, and promoting all things maps and globes.

I try to offer an honest appraisal of my products, with plenty of photos from different angles along with a thorough explanation, identifying any points of note. I also use a light box on occasion to show authenticity of laid paper including any folio leaf hinge glue that you wouldn’t see in normal light. Please feel free to ask me questions if you require more detailed information about a product. NB: Any props in the sale photos are not part of the sale.

My hobbies are socialising with friends and family, spending time with my dogs and also indulging in Italian red wine 😊
