Chromolithographic Coat of Arms of Great Britain.
Chromolithographic Coat of Arms of Great Britain.
The shield is quartered and shows in the first and fourth quarters the three passing lions with their heads in majesty of England; in the second, the lion rampant with the double flowered and counter-flowered belt of Scottish lilies, and in the third, the Irish harp. The crest consists of a stationary lion with his head in majesty crowned with the imperial crown, which can be represented both in its real form and in another version. The right support is a crowned lion like the crest, symbolising England; the one on the left is a unicorn, symbolizing Scotland.
According to legend, a free unicorn was considered a particularly dangerous animal, which is why the British heraldic unicorn is chained. Measurements 21 cm x 13 cm. Language: Italian
