Toy Spinning Tin Globe - Circa 1910
Extremely scarce children’s toy in English, Circa 1910. This 2” globe was made and designed by an unknown manufacturer.
The wooden stem affixed to its metal shaft is unusually still intact, you can see where this has been thumbed many times. The lithographed map is in good condition for its age and use. The toy has much character.
Lithography on toys commenced around the late 1800’s and these toys were manufactured predominantly in England, Germany, and Japan. This example is more likely to be English. The magnifying glass prop in the photo’s, is NOT part of this sale.
